About us

Oxford Business Mentors is unique:-

  • It is free, and you can use it as often as you want
  • It is confidential
  • It is not reliant on public sector funding
  • Our mentors not only have experience in business, but also continue to run their own business
  • Our mentors are not consultants
  • Our mentors are well networked locally
  • Our mentors will understand the emotions you are feeling
  • Our mentors give their valuable time for free to help you, because it is their way of giving something back to the community
  • Our mentors are chosen for their competence and integrity.

At last, an honest service to help people in business. We will not try to sell you anything, we have nothing to promote. We simply and genuinely offer our time to help you. Do not expect our mentors to give you a quick fix. We do not give advice. If you need advice then we will suggest you see a professional advisor. We are experienced in running a business, something that is not available from a professional advisor, and that is a multi-faceted skill which is hard to define.
Think you don't need a mentor.......something a bit negative about having to listen to someone else's view on your business? All of our mentors will openly admit that they have their own mentors! There is nothing quite as powerful as opening up to someone with competence and integrity who you can trust and respect.

Oxford Business Mentors has not just started. It has taken many years to work out what we think is the best way to assist people in their struggles to run a business.

Mentoring for business is such a buzzword at the moment, but what does it actually mean? To get a good understanding it is worth knowing what forms of personal support there are for a person in business.

When a service is free any sensible person would treat it with suspicion. How can something that is free help me? We often say that you get what you pay for, and many business people I know would happily pay more if the service is excellent as that saves time and hassle. It follows that if a service is free it must be useless.
